Spanish Liturgical Ministers Schedule

Greetings and warm wishes to you!!

Hello to all the wonderful parishioners of St. Isidore:  who serve the community, others, and each other through your ministries, as:  Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors/Readers, Altar Servers, Mass Coordinators, and Ministers of Hospitality—Ushers and Greeters, of whom many are also you.

It is with joy and thanks that we present you with the fall and early winter Liturgical Minister’s schedule for the weeks from October 7th through January 27th 2008.  Time does fly, doesn’t it?  The Liturgical Year C also passes from us on the 25th of November (Solemnity of Christ the King), and ushers in the Year of the evangelist, Matthew, and Liturgical Year A as the Season of Advent begins on December 2nd.

There will be sign-ups for the Masses of Christmas Eve and the Nativity of the Lord – Christmas Day.  They’ll be posted for you right after Thanksgiving, so that you will have plenty of time to make your choices.  Please, do try to serve during this most special time of the year.

I cannot thank Sue Entwistle enough, for the time and work that has gone into producing this schedule.  Your situations have all been taken under consideration, and we thank you for getting them to Sue in a timely manner.

It is important that you honor your commitments, check the schedule regularly, and find a replacement if something comes up prohibiting you from being present for an assignment.  Please be considerate of other ministers.

We are concerned about the 10am Mass.  We have the most available ministers at this time, but the most no-shows, especially in the ranks of Eucharistic Ministers.  If you know someone who is listed or scheduled and is no longer at the parish, do let us know!

I will continue to be present on Sundays, as long as the Lord wills me to do so, and do feel free to express your feelings to me, and I will try to accommodate as many requests as I am able.  I enjoy seeing each of you serve, and love it when you make contact with me.  I’ll be present at the 5pm Mass as often as I can as well.

Thank you all and Sue especially, again, and if you have a friend or fellow parishioner who is a bit tentative about the ministries, ask them, encourage them, and help them once they say “Yes” to you, the Lord, and the people of God!

In the Peace of Christ,
Deacon Terry
