Dear Friends and Supporters of St. Isidore,

The 2010-2011 school year is upon us and, once again, we are faced with expectations to assure that our school and its students achieve another year of academic and Christian growth. With this said, we respectfully and humbly ask your support for our upcoming, seventh annual, St. Isidore Auction Dinner Dance to be held on February 26, 2011, at the Medinah Banquet Center in Addison, IL.

We understand that the economy is difficult right now and for that reason we need your assistance more than ever. Our hope is that those businesses who have supported our event in the past can continue supporting us once again this year. We truly appreciate our donors and recognize that without you, we could not be as successful . . . THANK YOU!!

If you have not supported “Your St. Isidore” in the past, please consider making a contribution this year. Any donation you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will assist in making our auction our most successful yet! As a donor, you will be listed in the Auction Book, and we will request all concerned with St. Isidore to support your business. This year’s auction  promises to have over 400 attendees. With this number of attendees, you are assured plenty of exposure and can count on uncompromising marketing from both the school and parish.

St. Isidore is one of the largest parishes in the Joliet Diocese, involving approximately 5500 families! All donors will be recognized by the parishioners with acknowledgement through the church’s bulletin and website.

Sponsorship and support details come in several methods and are as follows:

Merchandise/Service Donation

For example: hotel stays, small electronics, gift certificates, wine bottles, haircuts/manicures, massage, gift baskets with various merchandise, sports tickets, trade services (i.e. painting), or whatever your business may provide, etc.

Cash Donation

Cash donations are always appreciated and allow us the opportunity to procure necessary items for our event.

Advertising Booklet

This booklet will contain many local area business advertisements. You may provide your company logo, or we can work with you to create an ad. Various sizes are available.

Please consider placing an advertisement to let our community know what your business has to offer.

We gratefully appreciate your consideration and assistance for an event that means so much to us. It is through your generosity that we can maintain and grow as a community of students, educators, parents and parishioners. In return, please know that we will continue to spread the word of your aid in hopes that your business, too, will prosper.

For your convenience all donations can be picked up by one of our auction volunteers. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Gratefully yours,
Debbie Isoda

About

St. Isidore was a farm hand. He was born near Madrid, Spain in 1070. He attended mass every morning at a Madrid church before he set out for work as a farm laborer.  Isidore and his wife vowed celibacy in gratitude for a miracle which saved their son from drowning in a well. They were known for their holiness and care of the poor. St. Isidore died May 15, 1130. He was canonized with other Spaniards - St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Francis Xavier, and St. Teresa of Avila on March 12, 1622.
