School Curriculum
To continue to strengthen the development of excellence in curriculum and instruction:
- by continuing the
infusion of Catholic Social Teaching into our new Social
Studies series and throughout other subject areas.
- by encouraging students
to be lifelong readers through the implementation of Sustained
Silent Reading (SSR), our newly reopened library, literature
circles, and various other school-wide activities.
- by striving for a more
individualized approach to teaching math through the use of a
more hands-on approach and smaller class sizes.
- by using writing across
the curriculum to enhance the usage of proper grammar and
appropriate grade level mechanics.
- by implementing the new
diocesan fine arts standards, goals and assessments.
- by using exploration,
content reading and individual projects to enrich the science
curriculum
- by constantly searching for "best practice" ideas that will enhance classroom instruction.
